Homes with heart.
Built to last.
Ashworth & Co has been building homes in the Cotswolds since 1988. Three generations of craft deserve more than a template. Warm editorial design, property listings with real pricing, and a site that feels as considered as the homes it sells.

Warm linen, Cotswold stone, editorial restraint.
The palette takes its cues from the builds themselves. A warm linen background (#F5F0EB) sits between cream and stone. Dark charcoal text on top. Muted gold accents that nod to the Cotswolds without shouting about it. Every colour choice says heritage, not high-pressure sales.
Typography does the heavy lifting. A refined serif for headlines creates editorial authority. A handwritten script appears in moments of personality: “Smooth Move”, family signatures, section flourishes. The script is deliberate and sparing. It warms the page without undermining the professionalism.
Circle-cropped photography in the navigation grid softens what could be a rigid layout. Full-bleed hero imagery of interiors, not exteriors, leads with the feeling of living there rather than buying there. The bedroom shot as the first thing you see is a deliberate choice. Homes, not houses.
Family story first, property cards second.
Property cards with real pricing and specs
Each listing shows what matters: a hero photo, the house name and plot number, price, bedroom and bathroom count, and feature tags like “South-Facing Garden” or “Easy Move Home”. No hidden pricing. No “enquire for details”. Transparency builds trust before the first phone call.
The “Homes of the Month” section surfaces available properties without burying them in a search tool. Buyers scanning the homepage get an immediate sense of what is on offer, what it costs, and where it is. That directness is rare in property marketing.

Three-generation family story
Founded in 1988 by David Ashworth as Burford Properties, now led by his daughters Emma and Louise. The family narrative is not buried in an About page. It sits on the homepage with a handwritten signature, a team photo on Cotswold stone, and an italic quote that reads like a personal letter.
Easy Move Package section
Stamp duty contributions, removal costs, legal fees, mortgage support. The Easy Move section breaks down exactly what buyers receive. Each line item is bolded with a clear pound figure. No ambiguity, no asterisks hiding conditions in small print. The “Smooth Move” script lettering adds warmth to what is otherwise a financial breakdown.

No WordPress. No templates. No plugins.
Property developers default to WordPress with a theme and a dozen plugins. The result is a 4-second load time, a site that looks like every other builder in the region, and a monthly maintenance bill to keep it from breaking. Ashworth & Co deserved better.
Built on Next.js 16 with React 19. Every component is custom: the property cards, the circle navigation grid, the script typography system, the search bar. Zero third-party UI libraries. Zero page builders. Images are served as WebP with automatic srcset generation. Fonts are subset and self-hosted. The entire site ships under 200KB on first load.
Google Lighthouse audit, mobile, simulated throttling. Scores reflect production deployment.
